Why Your Small Business Needs Professional Images

Running a small business is an all hands on deck effort. I get a very small taste of that with the businesses I’m involved with. Seeing how all the different layers come together to make it a well oiled and profitable machine. One thing I know to be a huge asset to a small business is their imagery. Most of the time this is what people first see; it’s what tells them in an instant what you’re about. It’s not all encompassing but it’s absolutely a defining piece of the puzzle.

I love so much coming alongside small businesses and entrepreneurs to create images that tell their story and define their brand well. This could be headshots of the hairstylists at a local salon. It could be the specialty drink at the corner coffee shop. These images become assets to a small business, ones they can use on their website, social media, or printed advertisements.

Someone could ask, “why can’t I just get my employees to take photos on their phone to use for promo?” I’d answer that by asking if they would feel the same concerning their accounting or their plumbing. Photography has become so ubiquitous that I can see how one may not see it as a science as well as an art form. Taking advantage of a photographer’s expertise and years of experience will always prove invaluable when it comes to the quality of not only the images but the ideas behind them.

If you’re a small business owner and want to have a conversation about any of this, I’d love to chat over a cup of coffee!
